Godfrey Spencer is a coach, mediator and trainer. With a background in linguistics, philosophy and history at the University of Cambridge, communication lies at the heart of his career. He has always been fascinated by the coherency between language, emotional states and deep aspirations. Godfrey has a masters in NLP and he also trained with the Institute for Training in Intercultural Management. Since 1997 he has specialised in Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication, and was appointed to the Board of the International Centre for Nonviolent Communication in 2004. He has received contracts from diverse organisations such as universities and hospitals, legal associations, the judiciary, banks and businesses for which he is also called upon to coach, mediate and teach. Godfrey has a varied background, holding managerial posts in the training and communication departments of major multinationals. Amongst other things he provided training in International Effective Communication for IBM and was a senior interpreter and committee chairman at NATO. He has extensive experience of working with European Institutions such as the European Commission, the ECSC and the EIB. Godfrey works in both French and English.
